Why we built Fursa

A manifesto on the future of search and hiring.

Job search is broken. Not just inefficient. Fundamentally broken.

Too often, your next opportunity is filtered through stale listings, duplicates, redirects, and platforms that profit from your activity instead of your outcome.

Candidates navigate expired pages, reposted roles, and fragmented application paths. They often cannot tell whether a position is still open, where it originated, or which application actually reaches the hiring team.

Companies face a related problem. Genuine openings get buried, while hiring teams receive more applications without necessarily receiving better candidates. The market has more platforms than ever, but less clarity, signal, and trust.

Fursa exists to build a better foundation for search and hiring.

01

The real problem

The hiring ecosystem optimizes for the wrong things.

Time on site. Clicks. Form fills. Profile capture. Paid placement. Every metric points inward, toward the platform, not outward, toward the person trying to find work or the company trying to hire.

These metrics reward browsing, not connection.

Middle layers turn a simple match into a maze. They add redirects, rankings, duplicate listings, and closed roles that keep the system busy while making the experience worse.

LinkedIn is a social platform that happens to have jobs. Its feed, network, and content incentives often sit ahead of the simple job of getting a candidate to the right apply link.

Indeed runs on volume and advertising. More listings, more redirects, more sponsored placement. Useful at scale, but the candidate experience often feels secondary.

That is the deeper problem. The largest platforms are not broken because they are bad companies. They are broken because their incentives point away from the outcome that matters: connecting the right person to the right opportunity as directly as possible.

A job search product should not win when you keep searching forever.

It should win when you find the right role faster.

02

Where it started

Fursa started with one stubborn belief: the problem was not the search box. It was the data underneath it.

If the map of open roles is wrong, everything built on top of it is wrong too. Better filters do not fix stale inventory. Better design does not fix duplicate listings. AI does not help if it is reasoning over broken data.

I spent years in the trenches trying to build what people around me kept asking for: a job search experience that respects time. Less looping. Less guessing. Less noise.

That taught me what matters most: freshness, clarity, and a direct path to the hiring team. Get the inventory right, and everything else becomes possible.

So we started at the source.

Employer career pages. Original apply links. Current roles. Clean structure. Verified status. One canonical version of each job wherever possible.

Get the inventory right, and everything else becomes possible.

03

What Fursa is

Fursa is not a job board. We do not try to trap you inside a feed. We start where truth lives, on employer career pages, and keep roles as current, clean, and direct as possible.

When you click a job on Fursa, you go to the company's own application flow. No unnecessary detours. No hidden middle layer. No pretending to own a role that belongs to the employer.

Underneath Fursa is a live index of open roles from employer sources.

Search is the front door.

Candidate understanding is the layer that makes search useful. It helps us interpret resumes, context, preferences, and signals so people see roles that are actually relevant, not just text matches.

On the company side, that same understanding helps us do better recruiting work. It turns raw search into stronger matching, better introductions, and better hiring outcomes.

Search is how most people experience it. Hire is how that system becomes a recruiting service. One system underneath, pointed at one outcome: the right match.

04

Why AI matters

AI is not the point.

Accuracy is the point. Clarity is the point. Speed is the point. AI helps us get there at scale.

Job posts are messy. Titles vary. Requirements sprawl. Locations blur. The same role appears in different forms across the internet. AI helps turn that mess into something structured, searchable, and comparable.

Used badly, AI floods the market with more noise.

Used well, AI removes waste. It gives people time back. It helps candidates understand fit. It helps companies find signal faster. It makes hiring feel more direct, more intelligent, and more human.

05

What we refuse

We do not believe hiring should be shaped by paywalls, pay-to-rank placement, and detours designed to harvest clicks, emails, and profiles.

We do not believe job discovery should reward platforms for keeping people stuck.

We do not believe in hiding the original apply link, inflating inventory with duplicates, or building auto-apply machines that spray low-signal applications everywhere and call it progress.

The future of hiring should not be more noise.

It should be more trust.

06

Where this goes

The future I want is simple.

Finding the right job should feel like finding the right information: current, clear, direct, and verifiable.

Companies should reach relevant candidates without depending on outdated gatekeepers. Candidates should know whether a role is real, open, and worth their time.

Search is the foundation. Candidate understanding is what makes it intelligent. Hiring outcomes are where the value gets proven. We will keep adding tools that save time across that path without stealing agency. Alerts that respect intent. Summaries that speed decisions. Automation where it helps. Humans where it matters.

Fursa is our contribution to that future. A direct path from talent to opportunity. The best job search is the one that ends quickly with the right match.
