Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise on-site LWD processes, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, quality control, and customer service delivery.
  • •Ensure customer data is accurate and timely, and provide expected data and possible issues to the customer.
  • •Provide technical consultation covering mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics.
  • •Test tools and equipment before, during, and after each job; identify and correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact.
  • •Complete required forms, databases, and reports, and support correct BHA assembly and coordination with the directional driller for compatibility and specifications.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three months of field experience in M/LWD.
  • •Completion of the basic M/LWD training program and successful completion of company tests or meeting task guideline requirements.
  • •Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards.
  • •Good communication, arithmetic, data entry, and recording skills.
  • •Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well site data.
