Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive the creative direction and design strategy for the Tailoring category to align with the Topshop brand vision.
  • •Research global fashion trends (catwalks, street style, cultural movements, social media, competitors) and translate them into product opportunities.
  • •Develop seasonal concepts including colour palettes, fabric direction, silhouettes, key items, and styling approaches.
  • •Create detailed design packs, CADs, and technical briefs, working with Product Development and suppliers on fabrics, trims, and finishes.
  • •Own fit, proportion, and silhouette direction through collaboration with Technical teams and analyse trade performance and customer feedback to inform future decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience in a Tailoring Design role, ideally within a fast-paced fashion retailer or contemporary fashion brand.
  • •Excellent understanding of tailoring construction, fit principles, fabrications, and garment finishing techniques.
  • •Proven ability to identify emerging trends and translate insight into commercially successful product.
  • •Strong understanding of the Topshop customer and a passion for fashion, culture, and emerging trends.
  • •Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD development.
