Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze and determine routes and flight altitudes, including tactical analysis/negotiation of user preferred routes with ATC, while considering economical factors, meteorology, safety, and legal requirements.
  • •Calculate and manage fuel requirements and select take-off/destination/enroute fuel and ETOPS alternate airports per legal and company requirements, including ETOPS diversion and ETP strategy analysis.
  • •Calculate take-off and landing performance and regulated weights, quantify impacts on commercial payload, coordinate with Ops Control, EK Skycargo, and load control, and assess performance penalties due to meteorological/technical reasons.
  • •Collate and sign the Flight Release, prepare and file ATC flight plans, and ensure flight release and briefing documentation reach the operating crew on time across Dubai and outstations.
  • •Monitor flights through safe touchdown, maintain operations within a safe envelope (weather, technical issues, airport availability, traffic flow, security threats), develop alternative plans when needed, negotiate slots, liaise with operational teams, and support disruption events and GHA quality checks.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a GCAA dispatch license and at least one year experience exercising its privileges, or an ICAO dispatch license recognized by the GCAA with verification and at least three years documented experience.
  • •If a dispatch license is not available or not required for the state (e.g., EASA region), have at least five years documented experience as a dispatcher for a major airline.
  • •Proficiency in computerized Flight Planning.
  • •Proficiency in computerized Flight Watch.
  • •Ability to perform flight release/ATC flight plan preparation and ensure required briefing documentation is provided on time.
