Job Function: Legal, Risk & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

•Develops strategy, advocates, and manages standard commercial litigation, transactions or regulatory dockets before state or federal regulatory agencies involving multiple parties to achieve successful outcomes.
•Provides legal counsel on a wide range of standard legal matters, including transactional, HR, litigation, IP, real estate, and regulatory matters.
•Responsible for a specialized role in standard projects involving internal teams, business units and external resources.
•Collaborates with business units and staff departments, facilitating compliance with federal and state regulations and staying abreast of proposed legislation and regulatory changes.
•Drafts contracts, pleadings, memoranda and other legal documents for filing before regulatory agencies or courts, ensuring filings are supported by compelling evidence and persuasive arguments.

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; admission to practice law in Iowa or Wisconsin (or appropriate jurisdiction).
•3+ years of experience in a wide range of legal issues after law degree.
•Strong legal research skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to collaborate with internal teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and provide guidance on regulatory matters.
•Experience drafting contracts, pleadings, memoranda and other legal documents for regulatory filings or internal use.
