Key Responsibilities

  • •Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing
  • •Collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives
  • •Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs
  • •Remain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practice
  • •Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation

Key Requirements

  • •BSN required; must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately upon hire, paid for by GCU
  • •BSN with proof of at least 9 credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught
  • •Minimum of 3 years’ recent work experience in OB nursing with a BSN
  • •An active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license
  • •Must successfully pass a drug test and competency testing
