Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify material sources relative to the needs of assigned facilities.
  • •Develop and maintain supplier relationships and translate them into business results (cash and program business).
  • •Procure products meeting quality, service, and price requirements of assigned facilities.
  • •Provide current market levels and predict future market direction.
  • •Operate inventory software (create/update purchase orders, manage buy lists, respond to claims, navigate Cardex, and prepare required reports).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • •Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the lumber industry.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook, and other business software.
  • •Working knowledge of lumber math and business math.
  • •Working knowledge of commodity market conditions and lumber and panel grade rules.
