Job Summary

Own front-end architecture for a global consumer web platform, defining how teams build and what “good” looks like across component design, state management, rendering, and performance. Establish performance budgets, SLOs, and RUM/Core Web Vitals instrumentation, then build a continuous feedback loop. Lead edge/CDN delivery architecture, resilience against bot traffic, and technical governance. Act as a hands-on principal technical authority using AI-native approaches to ship and raise standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the principal technical authority on front-end architecture, setting foundational decisions across component design, state management, and rendering strategy.
•Drive an island architecture approach with guardrails to keep the platform coherent as it scales across brands.
•Establish and defend performance budgets and SLOs, ensuring the platform ships to target load/render/scroll and media transition metrics.
•Own Real User Monitoring and Core Web Vitals instrumentation and convert results into a continuous delivery health feedback loop.
•Own edge/CDN and delivery-layer architecture (CDN strategy, caching, and cloud infrastructure), including resilience and cost/performance tradeoffs under bot and automated traffic.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 190,000 - 215,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Substantial experience as a senior individual contributor or technical leader owning front-end architecture for consumer-facing web systems at scale.
•Experience configuring CDN for a public-facing web system.
•Understanding of bot and automated traffic and how it impacts architecture and cost.
•Fluency in modern browser behavior across Chrome/Chromium and Safari/WebKit, with mobile as the priority.
•Hands-on experience with Real User Monitoring and Core Web Vitals, plus strong written and verbal communication.
