Key Responsibilities

  • •Inspect and perform technical inspections on heavy equipment, tactical vehicles, and material handling equipment during the turn-in process.
  • •Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults; repair and adjust engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
  • •Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with Army technical manuals and safety/environmental requirements.
  • •Record inspections, maintenance, and repairs using Army-approved forms and systems (DA Form 2404/5988-E, GCSS-Army) and maintain work orders and job completion records per ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
  • •Identify unserviceable/non-repairable equipment, prepare documentation for disposition, and assist in preparing equipment for shipment, transfer, or long-term storage.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of experience as a mechanic on military or heavy equipment.
  • •Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • •Ability to read and interpret Army TMs, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • •Working knowledge of preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) and Army logistics systems such as GCSS-Army.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and obtain Tier1/NACI (Public trust) background eligibility; pass background check and drug testing.
