Key Responsibilities

  • •Independent management of a caseload of Fast Track quantum cases, including effective planning and organising the workload to ensure Court deadlines are met
  • •Delivery of agreed performance targets and quality standards
  • •Analysis of the available evidence to create an initial case strategy on quantum
  • •Undertake effective telephone discussions and negotiations with clients, Defendants, third party insurers and third party solicitors to pursue settlement and apportionment of costs
  • •Drafting of Court documents and compliance with all Court deadlines

Key Requirements

  • •1) Prior experience handling own caseload of litigated claims (defendant or claimant) with understanding of case law and litigation practice
  • •2) Ability to plan and prioritise workloads in a process-driven environment
  • •3) Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills; ability to compose professional written communications
  • •4) Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel and Office)
  • •5) Good standard of education – 5 GCSEs grade C/5 or equivalent including maths and English
