Job Summary

Own the technical health of AI/ML systems powering recommendations, search, and personalization for 300M+ members. Define the end-state platform architecture, drive end-to-end migration to a modern Python-native stack, and build observability, cost, and reliability improvements across training and online inference. Partner with multiple AIMS teams and external platform partners to deliver scalable performance, tooling, and standards that enable trustworthy AI/ML modernization for the next decade.

Key Responsibilities

•Define the end-state architecture for the modernized AIMS AI/ML stack, including layer contracts and the migration path across pipelines, frameworks, and data infrastructure.
•Drive end-to-end migration of AIMS AI/ML systems to a modern Python-native platform, coordinating across multiple teams and external platform partners.
•Build migration tooling and shared abstractions that reduce adoption cost for individual teams.
•Design and build observability systems to provide visibility into model behavior, training pipeline health, serving latency, and data quality.
•Identify and drive cost optimization and reliability improvements across training and serving infrastructure, including operational automation and on-call ergonomics.

Salary: USD 600,000 - 1,066,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Significant experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production AI/ML systems, including training pipelines and high-traffic model serving.
•Hands-on experience migrating production AI/ML systems across technology generations, with strong understanding of common failure points.
•Strong software engineering fundamentals with deep Python expertise and proficiency in at least one JVM language (Scala or Java).
•Proven track record improving AI/ML reliability, reducing infrastructure costs, and improving operational scalability.
•Experience building observability/monitoring systems for AI/ML workloads across training, serving, and data pipelines.
