Own the end-to-end capture, validation, and upkeep of Alternatives investment data to power a research-focused analytics platform. Collaborate with the UK team to research and classify assets, manage data processing workflows, and maintain process controls and quality metrics. Oversee the alternatives security master and security classification, troubleshoot complex data ingestion pipelines with engineering, and explore AI developer tooling to streamline document parsing and validation cycles.

Key Responsibilities

•Capture, validate, and update Alternatives data to ensure timely, high-quality data for the analytics platform.
•Research investments in the global database and classify them by asset type, vintage, and strategy.
•Oversee operational workflows for Alternatives data processing, including alternatives security master and security classification processes.
•Develop and maintain process controls and quality metrics, and partner with the Research team to run data quality validations.
•Independently manage and troubleshoot complex end-to-end data ingestion pipelines and explore AI-assisted developer tooling to streamline document parsing and shorten validation cycles.

Key Requirements

•6+ years in financial investment/advisory with strong knowledge of capital markets and middle/back-office operations systems, ideally with Alternatives (private/draw-down) funds reporting and data.
•Hands-on proficiency with SQL and Databricks (PySpark) to work with complex data architectures, extract audits, and validate high-volume datasets.
•Strong ability to interpret unstructured private market financial documents (e.g., Form D filings, capital account statements, investment briefs) and translate them into structured taxonomies.
•Experience partnering on data quality validations and maintaining effective process controls, metrics, and quality standards.
•Technical familiarity with tools such as Excel, Google Suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, and Python ecosystem (Jupyter, Pandas, PySpark), plus exposure to common financial services systems.
