Job Summary

Lead day-to-day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services across feasibility, concept design, planning, detailed design and construction; provide expertise in drainage, SuDS, flood risk, highways, streetscape, earthworks and utilities; oversee multi-disciplinary projects as Project Manager when required, guiding a team and engaging with clients and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with compliant technical outputs.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead day-to-day technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services across all project stages from feasibility to construction.
•Provide technical leadership in drainage, flood risk, SuDS, highways, and utilities across development projects.
•Act as Project Manager on multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating resources and ensuring quality, schedule and budget adherence.
•Provide guidance and supervision to a team of technical staff across grades to deliver designs and documentation.
•Engage with clients and stakeholders, manage design teams and co-professionals to secure approvals and maintain project momentum.

Key Requirements

•Knowledge of highway design, drainage strategies and technical design, flood risk assessments and management, utility design and planning within the development sector.
•Experience in producing infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations and construction drawings.
•Awareness of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics and building structures; understanding of construction design stages and procedures.
•Ability to liaise with clients, co-professionals and design teams to negotiate outline and detailed technical approvals and statutory agreements.
•Willingness to mentor junior staff and guide a team through project delivery.
