Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems (e.g., brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, transmissions, clutches, differentials).
  • •Road test vehicles and use test instruments (e.g., handheld computers and pressure gauges) to diagnose malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including reconciliation.
  • •Document work on repair orders (including photos of work/parts/findings) and complete DOT forms while complying with safety and federal regulations.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field, or other equivalent combinations (e.g., 3 years plus related degree/certification or 7 years experience).
  • •Possess and supply required hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Complete all company required training and supply OEM training/certifications as preferred.
  • •ASE L2 preferred but not required.
  • •Able to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a qualifying current DOT medical card).
