Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform riding engineer duties in strict accordance with approved aircraft maintenance documents, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • •Ensure compliance with UAE GCAA regulations and Etihad Technical standards, supporting aircraft release to service safely and on time.
  • •Maintain valid licenses, approvals, and authorizations; communicate upcoming training or renewal requirements at least six (6) months prior to expiry.
  • •Resolve defects during line operations and riding duties using best-practice technical judgment.
  • •Support safety culture and continuous improvement by promoting modern tools/digital systems and reviewing industry occurrences/external best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Certificate or equivalent; technical or engineering diploma/degree preferred.
  • •Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA / EASA Part-66 / ICAO type convertible to GCAA).
  • •Minimum 2-3 years of certifying experience on at least 2 Etihad aircraft type ratings (Level 3) with valid company authorization.
  • •Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a Line Maintenance environment.
  • •Strong line maintenance and defect rectification knowledge, with clear communication and coordination with operational stakeholders.
