Key Responsibilities

  • •Project Leadership: Support the Edinburgh team to deliver high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations and manage design scope within budget and programme constraints.
  • •Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong technical understanding, stay updated on industry practices, and lead quality assurance for deliverables.
  • •Team Development: Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative environment to enable professional growth.
  • •Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the project team in discussions with clients and external partners, communicating technical information clearly.
  • •Health & Safety Leadership: Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation.

Key Requirements

  • •BEng or MEng Civil Engineering Degree (or suitable equivalent).
  • •Be professionally qualified or working towards accreditation with a relevant body (ICE, CIWEM etc.).
  • •Experience working within the water, wastewater and/or flood risk management sector leading project teams and managing design scope.
  • •Experience in client facing project management to support the efficient running of projects and programmes; understanding of construction and professional services contracts.
  • •Strong technical knowledge with the ability to lead quality assurance for project deliverables and maintain awareness of current industry practices.
