Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing engineering data to support project development and design.
  • •Perform hydraulic calculations and engineering analyses for water, slurry, process fluid, and compressed air systems (pipe sizing, pressure loss, pump evaluations, hydraulic grade line development).
  • •Develop and review hydraulic models and contribute to pump station designs, pipeline alignments, and surge protection concepts using industry-standard software tools.
  • •Support design and selection of pipelines, pumps, valves, piping specialties, and mechanical equipment for mining and industrial facilities.
  • •Prepare engineering deliverables including design criteria, technical specifications, datasheets, calculation packages, piping and valve schedules, hydraulic reports, PFDs, and P&IDs, and provide writing support for technical reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • •1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
  • •Familiarity with fluid mechanics, hydraulic system design principles, and pipeline engineering fundamentals.
  • •Experience developing engineering calculations for pipe sizing, pressure loss, pump selection, and hydraulic grade line assessments.
  • •Familiarity with hydraulic modeling and pipeline stress analysis tools such as AFT Fathom/AFT Impulse/KYPIPE and CAESAR II/AutoPIPE (or equivalent).
