Key Responsibilities

  • •Own multiple components and contribute to feature requirements, software design, and implementation for next-generation data center switching platforms.
  • •Develop and enhance BIOS/UEFI and embedded platform software, including low-level interactions with hardware and peripherals.
  • •Work on platform development cycle activities in collaboration with product marketing, testing, escalation, and support teams.
  • •Engage with peer engineers and technical leaders on design/functional and architectural aspects of features across Cisco products.
  • •Use strong debugging skills and hardware/software memory debugging tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors + 10 years, or Masters + 6 years, or PhD + 3 years of related experience.
  • •Solid conceptual and practical knowledge in BIOS and embedded product development.
  • •Hands-on ability to contribute to architecture, design, and development across the platform development cycle.
  • •In-depth understanding of hardware boards, layout, and BIOS architecture.
  • •Development experience with BIOS/GRUB/uboot, Linux device drivers (Linux KLM), networking stack, and memory model.
