Key Responsibilities

  • •Configure, maintain, and support WAF protections and investigate web security events including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, API attacks, bot traffic, credential stuffing, DDoS, and layer 7 attacks.
  • •Tune WAF policies, review traffic/security logs to identify attack patterns, implement approved changes/exceptions/allowlists, and support investigations and production incidents with senior engineers.
  • •Configure and maintain CDN/edge security for internet-facing applications, working with Akamai technologies (Property Manager, edge hostnames, cloudlets, DNS integrations, origin connectivity) and troubleshooting HTTP/DNS/TLS/connectivity issues.
  • •Support public TLS certificate lifecycle management (request validation, issuance, deployment, renewal, revocation, replacement), monitor inventories/expiration dates, coordinate with application owners, and validate/troubleshoot post-deployment issues.
  • •Identify automation opportunities and develop scripts/tools (Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs) to improve monitoring, reporting, inventory, and onboarding/certificate management processes.

Salary: USD 106,600 - 146,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent education and/or professional experience.
  • •2–4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, cloud engineering, application support, or a related technical field.
  • •Foundational understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, web applications, REST APIs, and reverse proxies/CDN concepts.
  • •Familiarity with Web Application Firewall technologies and common web security threats (OWASP Top 10).
  • •Ability to troubleshoot using logs/diagnostic information and communicate clearly, with willingness to learn new security technologies.
  • •Foundational understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, web applications, REST APIs, and reverse proxies and CDN concepts.
