Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform basic work using prescribed procedures.
  • •Respond to customer service requests, including connections and disconnections, as operator-qualified.
  • •Install, program, and operate wireless meter reading (WMR) equipment as necessary.
  • •Assist with activities to assure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies.
  • •Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements; identify and report safety and encroachment issues.

  • •General educational knowledge typically acquired through a high school diploma or GED.
  • •Valid driver’s license in accordance with company standards.
  • •Complete assigned classes, Operator Qualifications (OQ), and OJT for the Service Learning Path; maintain required OQs and training/certifications.
  • •Ability to use the company internet/intranet resources for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
  • •Ability to communicate with internal/external customers to obtain and provide basic factual information.
