Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for Wati’s Automation domain.
  • •Implement scalable workflow and automation capabilities (triggers, actions, execution flows, orchestration logic).
  • •Develop production-ready systems across the stack using C#, Go, Node.js, and MongoDB where appropriate.
  • •Collaborate with frontend engineers on workflow and builder experiences involving React Flow integrations and backend coordination.
  • •Investigate production issues, participate in incident handling, and contribute to operational improvements and sustainable fixes.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend skills (Go or Python preferred).
  • •Hands-on experience with one or more backend languages such as C# or Go (GoLang).
  • •Production experience building APIs, backend services, and data-driven application logic.
  • •Working knowledge of MongoDB/NoSQL and service-side data modeling.
  • •Familiarity with distributed systems fundamentals and AI-assisted development practices using Cursor/agent-assisted workflows.
