Job Summary

Provide engineering technician services for FAALC product divisions by troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, overhauling, assembling, testing, and installing electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment. Perform equipment performance analyses and data collection/reporting, support preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, and prepare assets for shipment. Work includes tower/radome installation and maintenance, at-heights duties, corrosion control, and daily entry into DCRS for billing.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, tear-down, repair, refurbish, overhaul, assemble, test, and install designated equipment as requested by FAALC product divisions or groups.
•Assemble and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, components, and test fixtures; perform adjustment, testing, and certification processes.
•Perform equipment performance analyses and collect/record engineering data to support fault isolation and verification.
•Support preventive and corrective maintenance on FAA and interagency systems, including basic troubleshooting and replacing failed line replaceable units (LRUs).
•Perform equipment installation and maintenance on NAS and inter-agency systems, including tower/radome work, corrosion control, and daily time entry into DCRS.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum High School Diploma/GED with completion of formal technical training courses.
•Obtain NACI Clearance (ability to obtain Public Trust).
•Estimated monthly travel required for this position: 70%.
•A valid driver's license is required.
•Successful completion of a physical fitness evaluation with weight restrictions of minimum 125 lbs and maximum 290 lbs.
