Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate APIs, backend microservices, and streaming pipelines that power maritime distribution channels.
  • •Take full end-to-end ownership of backend services and streaming applications from design through deployment and production operations.
  • •Build and evolve real-time stream processing applications using Kafka-based frameworks and high-performance data processing.
  • •Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and streaming workloads, including performance analysis and incident investigation.
  • •Collaborate across engineering, product, and platform teams to evolve and scale Kpler’s maritime platform.

Key Requirements

  • •3 to 6 years of professional engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs and backend microservices.
  • •Experience building and operating data pipelines or stream-processing applications in production.
  • •Hands-on experience operating production systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and incident investigation.
  • •Working knowledge of AWS (e.g., IAM, S3) and experience running containerized services in Kubernetes via GitOps-style workflows.
  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Computer Science or Software Engineering, with strong Agile collaboration and fluent English communication.
