Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the client on procurement and commercial strategies, including vendor prequalification, bid review/levelling, and chairing bid interviews.
  • •Manage estimating services across the project lifecycle: build detailed estimates, review junior work, present to the client, and perform value engineering and risk assessments.
  • •Own cost reporting and forecasting by setting reporting schedules, maintaining a commercial risk register, and reviewing project budgets and spend forecasts.
  • •Lead cost control activities: assess payment applications, advise on contractor entitlements, review change orders, and apply dispute prevention and resolution procedures.
  • •Manage invoicing, post-contract audits, account close-outs, post-contract reviews, and project handover procedures across phased program transitions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •3–5 years of relevant construction cost management experience.
  • •RICS accreditation or working towards it (advantageous).
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium to large-scale, multi-phase construction programs.
  • •Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
