Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •3 years of road and bridge construction inspection and testing experience (or equivalent education, training, and experience); Engineering Interns may qualify without experience.
  • •Ability to attain NCDOT certifications within 90 days (Concrete Field Technician, Conventional Density, Level II Erosion & Sediment Control/Storm water, QMS Roadway Technician, and ABC/Borrow Pit Sampling).
  • •Ability to keep accurate records and compute field data, including reading and interpreting construction plans.
  • •Ability to perform field testing and inspection activities (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing, traversing difficult terrain) and follow workplace safety policies.
