Job Summary

Lead Fortinet’s technical sales cycle by driving RFIs through RFPs/RFQs and participating in proof-of-concepts with internal and customer/partner teams. Serve as the primary technical point of contact, translating customer requirements into differentiated solutions that outperform competitors. Build deep product and competitive knowledge, present confidently (including whiteboarding and technical materials), manage multiple deals in parallel, and keep customer/prospect technical details updated in Salesforce.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive all technical aspects of the sales cycle, from initial RFIs through RFPs/RFQs, including project management and participation in POCs.
•Interpret customer technical requirements and build solutions that outperform competitor offerings.
•Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners in collaboration with sales.
•Continuously improve knowledge of Fortinet products/solutions and the competitive landscape to support long-term protection against evolving threats.
•Position Fortinet solutions via remote or in-person communication and present confidently using whiteboarding, technical materials, and technical plans while maintaining CRM accuracy in Salesforce.

Key Requirements

•Have strong security-technology aptitude in encryption and authentication, with knowledge of network security (intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN/WAN).
•Pre-sales experience owning end-to-end technical aspects of deals through technical closure.
•Demonstrate problem-solving skills and impact on key wins in your current organization.
•Build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical information to external and internal stakeholders.
•Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPsec, firewalls, 802.1Q, and cryptography protocols such as MD5, SHA1, DES, 3DES, plus SSH and SSL (CISSP beneficial).
