Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support using a basic understanding of anthropological and archaeological field techniques for locating, testing, recording, mapping, and evaluating archaeological sites.
  • •Support field surveys through pedestrian surveys and shovel test surveys.
  • •Use topographic maps, aerial photographs, and ESRI Arc Field Maps GPS data collection software to conduct survey work.
  • •Work long hours in difficult or remote environments and in varying weather conditions.
  • •Collaborate effectively with groups composed of diverse personalities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
  • •5 - 7+ years of archaeological field experience.
  • •Previous CRM field experience or academic archaeological field school.
  • •Knowledge and understanding of equipment, technology, and paperwork used in the recording and documenting of archeological sites and artifacts.
  • •Ability to work independently, and to fully plan and execute personal assignments with minimal instruction.
