Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, plan, and deliver theory, practical, and refresher training courses for the Technical Division in compliance with GCAA and international civil aviation regulations.
  • •Build and update training content delivered in person and online through the Etihad learning platforms, and maintain staff training records.
  • •Generate examination questions, review course content for continuous improvement, and facilitate timely completion of training competencies.
  • •Conduct practical assessments, handle examination invigilation, and mentor trainee engineers and junior technicians.
  • •Perform maintenance certification duties as an authorised engineer and implement advice on training-related changes to the EY TPM to maintain quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •A valid GCAA license and/or EASA Part 66 / ICAO type II and/or an appropriate engineering degree, plus recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
  • •Formal technical training in at least 1 Etihad aircraft type and a certified trainer or recognized training qualification.
  • •Minimum 8 years of experience in aviation maintenance, including at least 5 years in technical training, assessment, and development.
  • •Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, including FAA, GCAA, and EASA.
  • •Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other training technology platforms.
