Job Summary

Lead tax risk management and governance across the Australian business, partnering with the Head of Tax and the UK Group Tax team as a subject-matter expert. Oversee tax reporting and compliance (including corporate income tax, GST, FBT, and concessions), support ATO reviews, and drive process improvements through tax technology, including generative AI and RPA. Provide guidance to the tax team and wider business while assessing legislative changes and contributing to ad hoc Group Tax projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain robust tax risk management and governance control over all tax matters in conjunction with the Australian Head of Tax.
•Provide commercially focused tax business partnering advice across Australian and international tax matters.
•Oversee tax reporting and compliance, including tax return preparation and support for ATO review and assessments.
•Drive process improvement and increased use of tax technology, including generative AI tools and robotic process automation.
•Monitor legislative developments and assess/communicate their impact; contribute to ad hoc Group Tax projects.

Key Requirements

•Degree qualification and completion of CA, CPA, or equivalent.
•Extensive experience working in a tax role in a large corporate environment or tax consulting business.
•Broad experience in Finance and Commercial areas.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different organizational levels.
•Knowledge of income tax legislation, GST, FBT, R&D, and accounting standards.
