Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct deep-dive architectural reviews of high-spend services to identify inefficiencies and provide code-level and infrastructure recommendations (e.g., refactoring for serverless, right-sizing containers)
  • •Translate savings targets into actionable technical backlogs for engineering squads and serve as the primary technical partner for the FinOps Champions network
  • •Develop and maintain governance scripts and IaC (Terraform) to automate cost governance and prevent cost leaks
  • •Automate detection and remediation of orphaned resources, unoptimized snapshots, or inefficient architectural patterns
  • •Translate complex technical optimization successes into business value metrics for Senior Leadership and assess long-term cloud financial commitments

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or DevOps
  • •Expert-level understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP services and how architectural choices impact billing
  • •Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go) and hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • •Analytical skills to parse complex billing data and correlate with application performance and architectural bottlenecks
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
