Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare, review, and validate cost estimates at conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design stages in line with company guidelines.
  • •Develop estimates using historical data, vendor quotations, and engineering inputs with defined accuracy levels (e.g., Class 4 to class 1).
  • •Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand and interpret scope and deliverables.
  • •Identify specialty items and ensure they are included; liaise with execution agencies to secure quotations and validate in-house pricing against market conditions.
  • •Ensure estimate packages include required documentation (scoping documents, drawings, MTOs, vendor quotations, risk registers) and support stage-gate reviews, contingency, and cost reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical).
  • •Minimum 10 years experience in cost estimating within the oil & gas, energy, or industrial sector.
  • •Proven experience preparing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design estimates.
  • •Strong understanding of international estimating guidelines such as AACE International.
  • •Proficient in estimating tools and methodologies including unit rates, parametric estimating, and bottom-up estimating.
