Job Summary

Prepare and validate cost estimates for Aramco capital projects within the Estimating Services Division of the PMO. Develop probable material, labor, equipment, and subcontract costs from bids, quotations, drawings, and specifications; perform material take-offs and pricing validations; and collaborate with engineering and project teams. Produce estimate packages with required documentation, support stage-gate reviews, identify cost risks, and generate cost reports to track performance and forecast execution costs.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare, review, and validate cost estimates at conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design stages in line with company guidelines.
•Develop estimates using historical data, vendor quotations, and engineering inputs with defined accuracy levels (e.g., Class 4 to class 1).
•Collaborate with engineering and project teams to understand and interpret scope and deliverables.
•Identify specialty items and ensure they are included; liaise with execution agencies to secure quotations and validate in-house pricing against market conditions.
•Ensure estimate packages include required documentation (scoping documents, drawings, MTOs, vendor quotations, risk registers) and support stage-gate reviews, contingency, and cost reporting.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical).
•Minimum 10 years experience in cost estimating within the oil & gas, energy, or industrial sector.
•Proven experience preparing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design estimates.
•Strong understanding of international estimating guidelines such as AACE International.
•Proficient in estimating tools and methodologies including unit rates, parametric estimating, and bottom-up estimating.
