Key Responsibilities

  • •Own delivery of Spain’s occupational risk prevention requirements, including creation, design, implementation, and ongoing management of Oyster’s Internal Prevention Service (Servicio de Prevención Propio).
  • •Perform workplace and occupational risk assessments, and investigate work-related accidents and occupational illnesses.
  • •Serve as the primary subject matter expert for Spain-specific H&S questions, resolving complex tickets and escalations.
  • •Conduct health and safety reporting and advise the business on protective measures, including representation during Labor Inspection visits.
  • •Manage HSE vendor relationships in Spain and support global H&S audits, inspections, incident management, and continuous improvement of remote safety processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant technical knowledge of Spain’s occupational risk prevention regulations, with proven experience setting up or managing an Internal Prevention Service (Servicio de Prevención Propio).
  • •Experience supporting health & safety frameworks across multiple countries/regions in a remote environment (EMEA, APAC, LATAM, AMER).
  • •Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to compliance with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical advice for a remote workforce.
  • •Strong communication skills for escalations, advising senior leadership, and training internal teams.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, safety, or engineering (or similar), plus a Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention with the three specializations; full English proficiency (C1+).
