Job Summary

Advise product, engineering, and go-to-market teams on legal risks across the full product lifecycle for AI and cloud offerings. Serve as a primary counsel partner, assessing privacy, regulatory, licensing, IP, customer data, export control, and responsible AI issues. Draft and negotiate commercial and data protection agreements, support incident response and regulatory investigations, and build scalable self-service legal playbooks and automated workflows to help teams launch and iterate globally.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a trusted counsel partner and primary point of contact for product, engineering, and go-to-market teams, including Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
•Assess legal risks in product development, including privacy, regulatory, licensing, intellectual property, and other issues across design through global launch and post-release.
•Identify and drive resolution of legal issues related to customer data, privacy, security, export control, open-source software, and responsible AI.
•Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and data protection agreements, including vendor and technology partnership agreements, terms of service, privacy policies, and acceptable use policies.
•Support legal strategy for critical incident response and regulatory investigations, and co-develop scalable self-service legal playbooks, templates, and automated workflows.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,000 - 225,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
•8+ years of legal experience with significant in-house experience supporting SaaS, PaaS, and/or IaaS product development teams.
•Proven experience counseling AI product and engineering teams across the product development lifecycle through global launch and post-release iteration.
•Strong understanding of US and global privacy regulations, intellectual property, open-source software, artificial intelligence, and data security.
•Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements.
