Job Summary

Hands-on Accounting Manager leading close processes and building scalable financial systems for a biotech AI-enabled drug discovery company. Manage a team of contractors, partner across functions, automate and improve financial reporting using ERP tools, and ensure regulatory compliance. You’ll own monthly close, management reporting, payroll reconciliations, and collaboration with cross-functional partners to support rapid growth and long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close process, preparing journal entries, balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and analyses for various accounts timely.
•Prepare the monthly management financial packages (with analysis) and other management reports as requested, including understanding and articulating financial results.
•Reconcile payroll-related accounts and prepare payroll journal entries.
•Collaborate with various business partners to obtain required financial reporting information and develop improvements to the financial reporting process.
•Assist accounts payable operations, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and purchase order reconciliation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 135,000 - 155,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally a public accounting and private industry mix.
•Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
•Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
•Demonstrated ability to manage external service providers and cross functional relationships.
•Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a passion for working in a mission-driven organization.
