Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and maintain wind turbine equipment and associated infrastructure (substation, collection, and transmission systems).
  • •Read schematics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems for variable pitch and variable speed control systems.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance per OEM maintenance manuals and complete repairs or replacements to correct malfunctions.
  • •Comply with environmental health and safety programs and adhere to internal controls.
  • •Collect data, prepare reports, and perform retrofits/design modifications; support QA/QC documentation and commissioning walk-downs as applicable.

Key Requirements

  • •One year college or technical school certificate; or 12 months of related experience or wind industry training; or equivalent education/experience; and a high school diploma or GED.
  • •Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (e.g., voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, infrared testers, hydraulic torque equipment).
  • •Advanced computer skills using word processing, spreadsheets, email, and reporting/troubleshooting tools.
  • •Ability to climb towers up to 100 meters daily and lift up to 60 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • •Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
