Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and own a proactive pipeline of acquisition and investment opportunities aligned to strategic priorities.
  • •Develop deal sourcing networks with founders, executives, and investors across fintech and adjacent markets.
  • •Provide market and competitive intelligence to inform Plaid’s strategic direction and investment priorities.
  • •Lead end-to-end deal execution including valuation, financial modeling, diligence coordination, negotiation, and structuring.
  • •Drive post-deal integration by partnering with cross-functional leaders to set milestones, track progress, and measure outcomes against the investment thesis.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of experience across investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting, with focus on PE due diligence.
  • •Deep, hands-on end-to-end deal execution experience: sourcing, valuation, financial modeling, diligence, negotiation, and closing.
  • •Track record managing multiple complex deals from inception through post-close integration.
  • •Strong analytical rigor and sound business judgment on when to dig deeper or move forward.
  • •Prior experience in technology is required; experience partnering with product and engineering leaders is a plus.
