Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute multi-year global commodity and sourcing strategies across direct and indirect domains to reduce cost and improve resilience.
  • •Build, mentor, and lead a team of commodity managers, strategic sourcing leads, and technical sourcing engineers across global sites.
  • •Serve as the executive sponsor for Tier 1 suppliers, contract manufacturers, and critical technology partners, establishing strategic alliances and performance management systems.
  • •Partner with Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Manufacturing to drive DFM and GD&T cost optimizations, raw material selection, and process standardizations.
  • •Lead strategic negotiations for MSAs, development agreements, LTSAs, and SOWs, and proactively mitigate supply risks from single-source dependencies, geopolitical vulnerabilities, and capacity constraints.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • •10+ years of experience in mechanical & structural strategic sourcing, global commodity management, or supply chain leadership in complex hardware manufacturing.
  • •5+ years scaling high-performing procurement or supply chain teams.
  • •Proven expertise negotiating enterprise-level agreements and managing diverse mechanical commodity portfolios across methods such as 5-axis CNC, composite layups/infusion, high-pressure casting, plastic injection molding, and metal stamping.
  • •Track record managing supplier lifecycles and scaling NPI workflows from prototype to high-rate production.
