Job Summary

Develop and maintain category strategies for Etihad, including demand/supply market analysis, Local Content and savings targets, and best commercial approaches. Own category and sub-category demand plans and lead sourcing strategy development through contract award and post-contract supplier relationship management. Negotiate commercially to extract best value, using procurement levers and financial analysis/TCO, while partnering closely with end users and the Procurement Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan, deliver, and update category strategies using demand/supply market analysis, innovation opportunities, Local Content targets, savings targets, and best commercial approaches.
•Develop and maintain category/sub-category demand plans, coordinating with end users and tracking expiring contracts and new requirements.
•Lead development and execution of sourcing strategies, applying work-scope challenge, relevant sourcing levers, procurement channels, Local Content considerations, and financial analysis/TCO.
•Develop and apply negotiation strategies and conduct commercial discussions to extract best value.
•Lead supplier relationship management for strategic vendors and support contract performance management; liaise with the Procurement Operations team on sourcing planning and execution.

Key Requirements

•Degree-level qualification preferred; CIPS or other relevant procurement professional qualification/certification or membership is desirable.
•At least 5 years of relevant experience in category management.
•Experience in PSM roles, including category management activities.
•Experience managing teams and developing staff.
•Ability to support sourcing work scope/specification challenge with commercial perspectives aligned to supply market standards and benchmarks.
