Join the Project Controls Estimation team to create accurate cost estimates that support planning, budgeting, and successful delivery of critical transmission, distribution, and generation projects. Work with engineers, project managers, and construction teams across project phases, including takeoffs, forecasting, budget development, cost control, and estimating database management. This opening covers Associate Estimator (P2) and Estimator (P3) levels based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and manage estimate scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality for assigned projects or phases.
•Create cost estimates through labor, material, and time analysis, including takeoffs and projected cost calculations.
•Support requirements scoping by analyzing proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify labor, material, and time needs.
•Build and revise capital/maintenance budgets, including providing forecasting detail and variance explanations.
•Perform financial analysis and cost-control support by identifying variances, analyzing trends, preparing forecasts, and supporting auditors with requested data.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering management/technology, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
•Associate Estimator (P2): typically 2+ years in construction and cost estimation across electrical, mechanical, and civil components or a related field.
•Estimator (P3): typically 5+ years in construction and cost estimation across electrical, mechanical, and civil components or a related field.
•Working knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control concepts, including general profit/loss terms.
•Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Office and applicable BIM/CAD software (and working knowledge of NESC and NEC).
