Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the NPI program for each new power or cooling product from concept selection through ramp, managing gate schedules, exit criteria, and risk registers.
  • •Engage suppliers early by translating site requirements (fault current, grid interconnection, harmonics/ride-through, thermal envelopes, footprint, serviceability) into supplier-ready product requirements and specifications.
  • •Lead DFM/DFT/DFx reviews and define prototype/pilot build scope, test plans, and root-cause/corrective actions for failures.
  • •Qualify products for deployment via first-article inspection, FAT, SAT, and integrated system testing; sign off on production readiness.
  • •Coordinate cross-functionally across design, construction/commissioning, utilities/interconnection, safety, and sourcing to integrate NPI schedules with campus delivery plans and transfer steady-state documentation to downstream teams.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of engineering experience in power electronics, electrical equipment, or industrial energy systems, including 4+ years owning a product from prototype through production ramp.
  • •Hands-on experience with at least two: BESS, utility/data-center-scale inverters, medium-voltage transformers/switchgear, UPS, STATCOM/power-quality equipment, or liquid cooling systems.
  • •Experience applying relevant qualification standards and executing structured qualification programs (EVT/DVT/PVT, FAT/SAT, type testing, reliability testing) with root-cause analysis and CAPA.
  • •Familiarity with supplier factory environments and the ability to assess supplier readiness to ship at rate.
  • •Design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test fluency, plus strong communication across engineering, supply chain, and executive audiences.
