Job Summary

Build and maintain robust .NET Core RESTful APIs for REDS, Zurich’s risk accumulation management platform. You’ll design scalable, secure, cloud-native services on Azure, integrate .NET services with Databricks, Azure SQL, PostGIS, and message queues, and help modernize legacy components. In a hands-on senior role, you’ll ensure high code quality via unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and secure coding practices while collaborating with architects, product owners, modelers, and data engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and maintain .NET Core RESTful APIs that expose REDS capabilities to underwriting, modelling, and reporting consumers.
•Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable, secure, cloud-native services on Azure.
•Integrate .NET services with Databricks, Azure SQL, PostGIS, message queues, and internal Zurich platforms.
•Ensure high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and secure coding practices.
•Collaborate in an agile delivery model and help modernize legacy components by migrating to the cloud-native target architecture.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally in international environments and financial services (banking or insurance).
•Strong experience with .NET (latest LTS, .NET 8 preferred) and extensive .NET Core RESTful API development in production.
•Solid experience with Entity Framework and Repository / Unit of Work patterns.
•Strong T-SQL / MS SQL skills (SELECT/UPDATE, joins, stored procedures and triggers).
•Hands-on experience with Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure PaaS services, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
