Key Responsibilities

•Lead and grow the Maps & Search team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, 1:1s, feedback, and career development.
•Stay hands-on with code and design reviews, architecture, and debugging while making sound technical trade-offs.
•Own and scale a high-throughput search platform, driving architecture, relevance, latency, and reliability at massive scale.
•Deliver a world-class home search experience across web and mobile to improve engagement, lead conversion, and agent workflows.
•Partner across teams to advance AI-powered discovery by integrating LLMs and intelligent ranking into search and user workflows, and shape the roadmap with product and design.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful senior/staff-level time and 2+ years managing engineering teams.
•Search experience working on search, relevance, ranking, or retrieval systems.
•Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React, with full-stack fluency across the request path from UI to data.
•Experience designing and operating scalable microservice architectures in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
•Strong understanding of GraphQL, event-driven systems (Kafka), and databases (PostgreSQL, OpenSearch).
