Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and support SAP BODS production environments to ensure availability and reliable execution of business-critical ETL jobs.
  • •Proactively diagnose and resolve ETL job failures, data load issues, and system performance bottlenecks while meeting SLAs and operational KPIs.
  • •Conduct root cause analysis for recurring production issues and drive permanent fixes and preventative measures to improve stability.
  • •Support releases, migrations, deployment activities across environments, and participate in on-call rotations when required.
  • •Improve monitoring/alerting/observability, automate operational tasks, maintain runbooks/knowledge articles, and coordinate resolution during major incidents.

Key Requirements

  • •4–7 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Support, or Application Support functions, including 3+ years supporting SAP BODS production environments.
  • •Hands-on experience monitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting SAP BODS production environments and operations.
  • •Strong understanding of enterprise-scale ETL operations and data movement platforms, including data flows/workflows, job server, repository management, and batch job execution.
  • •Strong SQL and database querying skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake) plus experience analyzing ETL failures, performance bottlenecks, and data quality issues.
  • •Experience with incident/problem/service operations processes and enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys.
