Job Summary

Provide site-based geotechnical and tailings engineering support focused on practical implementation and monitoring. Strengthen the site technical team by compiling and presenting monitoring data, performing survey/geometry/volumetric checks, supporting deposition planning, and assisting with construction monitoring, QA/QC, and earthworks tracking. Review technical reports and drawings, maintain action trackers and document control, coordinate with site teams, and support OMS/TARP and risk-register updates.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide site-based geotechnical and tailings engineering support for operations, including monitoring and practical implementation.
•Support routine inspections and monitoring reviews, and follow up on site actions.
•Assist with survey, geometry, and volumetric checks for tailings storage facilities, embankments, borrow areas, and related infrastructure.
•Compile and present monitoring data (piezometers, pond levels, rainfall, survey monuments, deformation data) and support deposition planning and short-term site planning.
•Support construction monitoring and QA/QC follow-up, including drainage works and earthworks tracking; review drawings and technical reports to extract actions, risks, and follow-ups.

Key Requirements

•BTech/BEngTech/BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, tailings, mine waste, earthworks, water management, or mining infrastructure.
•Practical site experience with tailings storage facilities, embankments, construction monitoring, deposition planning, geotechnical investigations, or related mine infrastructure.
•A postgraduate qualification in geotechnical engineering, tailings, mine waste, or water management is beneficial but not essential.
•Professional registration or progress toward registration would be advantageous.
