Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage assigned caseload of highest-complexity property claims, including evaluation, negotiation, and settlement.
  • •Determine coverage by analyzing complex policy terms and prior loss history, and recognize liability exposure.
  • •Communicate with insured regarding coverage and settlement-related information and considerations.
  • •Create Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals when appropriate and coordinate documentation/compliance.
  • •Prepare estimates using estimating technology platforms and maintain accurate, current claim files; perform inspections and may travel 50–75% for local/non-local and CAT duty as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
  • •4 years’ relevant property claims adjusting experience, including writing estimates for moderate to highly complex claims and field adjusting.
  • •2 years’ experience handling dwelling claims.
  • •Successfully acquire a Property & Casualty (P&C) adjuster license and state registrations within 90 days of hire.
  • •Proficient knowledge of Xactimate or similar estimating platforms and expert knowledge estimating losses of moderate complexity.
