Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver General Engineering Training to QAF cadets at the Qatar Technical Institute, predominantly in classroom and practical training areas.
  • •Deliver training modules across the General Engineering programme or within mechanical/electrical/armament trade boundaries, contributing to externally accredited qualifications.
  • •Assess learner performance according to the assessment strategy, including knowledge-based testing, and where needed assess outside the learner’s trade boundary for independence.
  • •Maintain training quality by delivering programmes to plan and ensure all SHE requirements are met in the training environment.
  • •Contribute to QTI continuing improvement by identifying ideas and embracing suggestions, and establish effective links with local QAF Cadet Welfare teams to support welfare and discipline needs.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Level 4 Qualification in Teaching & learning (including 90 hours teaching practice).
  • •Have 5 years’ training delivery experience gained outside of QTTC (or 2 years within) delivering apprenticeship, military trade, type training, FE College engineering/science, and be TAQA Qualified.
  • •Demonstrate at least 2 years’ experience in training design using the BSAT/DSAT model.
  • •Be fluent in spoken Arabic (advantage).
  • •Use presentation media and training devices/assets proficiently to deliver training modules and support courseware development when required.
