Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and develop the AML and financial crime compliance framework, aligned to AML/CTF/CPF requirements, legislation, and industry guidance.
  • •Review existing AML policies, procedures, and controls and drive improvements.
  • •Oversee customer risk assessment, CDD, EDD, Source of Funds, and Source of Wealth procedures.
  • •Act as designated AMLCO: assess internal reports, submit SMRs to AUSTRAC, and maintain investigation records.
  • •Report to senior management on AML risks, cases, trends, and control effectiveness, including monitoring regulatory developments and delivering AML training.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience within AUS-regulated online gambling, ideally sportsbook.
  • •Detailed knowledge of Australian AML/CTF/CPF requirements.
  • •Significant practical experience performing AML, CDD, EDD, Source of Funds, and Source of Wealth assessments.
  • •Experience handling complex and higher-risk customer cases.
  • •Excellent written skills to produce clear policies, risk assessments, and regulatory documentation.
