Job Summary

Lead the People Technology Growth engineering team to own the end-to-end internal employee journey, from attraction through offboarding. Move beyond maintaining disconnected SaaS tools by driving a “Journey Layer” built with engineering rigor and strong product quality. You’ll set and execute a technical roadmap, manage incidents and SLAs, standardize delivery rituals using Jira, and provide direct line management for a globally distributed team.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the technical roadmap for the People Technology Growth team, addressing technical debt, reliability, security, and scalability concerns.
•Deliver the “Journey Layer” by shifting from maintaining SaaS configurations to supporting end-to-end employee journeys with engineering rigor.
•Set a high standard for product quality and internal customer experience across the products you own.
•Drive day-to-day execution through active contribution, incident resolution, and establishing appropriate support SLAs and documentation.
•Provide direct line management responsibility for a global engineering team, including coaching, performance feedback, hiring/onboarding support, and balancing team composition.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 105,000 - 135,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Experience managing or leading engineering teams, including coaching talent, conducting performance reviews, and building high-performing cultures.
•Strong domain experience in the HR Tech ecosystem or employee experience platforms (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, core HRIS systems).
•Strong engineering foundation delivering technical roadmaps and making architectural/integration decisions (APIs, data mapping, automated workflows).
•Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to align technical delivery to a product roadmap.
•Ability to bring structure to complex environments and coach the team through new ways of working aligned to wider platform practices.
