Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, coordinate, and drive SAP’s strategic efforts to leverage quantum computing for simulation problems and identify high-impact use cases with line-of-business teams.
  • •Serve as the primary technical and strategic liaison between the Office of the CTO and LOB application development units to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • •Engage with chief architects to define and validate the potential impact and business benefits of quantum simulation.
  • •Translate quantum simulation research into application demands, guiding and educating LOB experts on architectural best practices and implementation strategies.
  • •Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts, take end-to-end ownership of initiatives, and represent SAP’s quantum efforts at internal and external events.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of professional experience in technology research or advanced development, with a track record in complex, scalable enterprise software applications.
  • •Deep expertise in quantum computing with a mandatory focus on quantum simulation algorithms and their application (including strong familiarity with NISQ algorithms for material science problems).
  • •Strong communication and presentation skills to brief senior executives and chief architects and translate technical concepts into business value.
  • •Ability to translate scientific research into concrete enterprise application requirements and architectural blueprints.
  • •Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, strongly specialized in quantum simulation.
