Job Summary

Provide customer support and advanced field technical troubleshooting for gas detection systems within the Industrial Automation business unit. Investigate and resolve advanced equipment issues, perform root-cause analysis, and help ensure optimal operation and maintenance for safety and reliability. Support service tracking and accurate documentation, act as a conduit between Field Service and Technical Support/Engineering, and help develop training curriculum for the field organization.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage with customers to support optimal operation and maintenance of gas detection systems and provide expert troubleshooting and solutions.
•Drive identification, investigation, resolution, and replication of advanced technical issues experienced by the field team; perform root-cause analysis.
•Facilitate issue identification and analysis, and investigate/resolve technical issues for advanced field problems.
•Provide timely, detailed, and accurate reports; document and record all activity and communication.
•Support customer support best practices, and help develop training curriculum and enablement for the field organization and junior technicians/customers.

Key Requirements

•Associate degree in Electronics/Engineering Technology (Instrumentation, HVAC, Fire Alarm Systems, or related) OR 1–2 years of equivalent hands-on field service experience OR 1–2 years of military technical training with field experience.
•1–2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint) for documentation, reporting, service tracking, and communication.
•Basic understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and field service operations.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
•2+ years experience applying customer/product support best practices in a field service, technical service, or industrial environment (preferred/valued).
